COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update

(includes additional guidance added 2020-03-15)

The coronavirus has continued to infect more North Carolinians each day across many areas of our state and is forecasted to increase. In addition, many NC county schools have been suspended across the state. Also, many NC schools have suspended their after-school programs and activities as precautionary measures to help reduce opportunities for their students and faculty and staff from contracting the virus. CAP and specifically, NCWG, will be doing our part as well to reduce those opportunities for contracting the virus.

HOW DOES THIS IMPACT OUR SQUADRON?

  • Squadron meetings are cancelled starting from now until May 11th

  • No Cadet meetings

  • No Senior meetings

  • No Squadex (Squadron Exercise)

WILL WE MEET THROUGH MICROSOFT TEAMS?

At the moment, the squadron is not going to meet through Teams.  We are currently evaluating options about what could be done through Teams for effectiveness.  Please stay tuned.

WHEN WILL WE BE BACK TO NORMAL OPERATIONS?

On May 11th, the situation will be reevaluated and reassessed. Until May 11th, NO ACTIVITIES.

ARE THERE ANY CAP ACTIVITIES CURRENTLY OPENED?

Only AOB missions, real-world missions, and check rides are authorized at the moment.  These missions are open and active.  If a new real-world mission opens, we will follow through.

WHAT CAN I DO IN THE MEANTIME?
